In light of the International Day for Disaster Reduction, representatives of RRC.AP's Climate Change Cluster participated in the “Resilience Building for Sustainable Development” International Conference held 11 - 13 October in Yerevan, Armenia. The event was organised by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The overall objective of this conference was to boost dialogue and awareness on disaster risk reduction (DRR) in Europe and the CIS region and beyond, as well as strengthen political commitment of key actors for sustainable, risk-informed DRR efforts.
RRC.AP's Director, Osamu Mizuno, delivered a presentation on AIT's work in DRR, while our Senior Programme Specialist, Armen Rostomyan, moderated a session on Coordination of the Sendai Framework Implementation through Monitoring and Evaluation.
