Two representatives of the Climate Change cluster attended the workshop upon the invitation of UNEP-DTU Partnership in Copenhagen that is involved in the Initiative for Climate Action Transparency (ICAT). The initiative is a neutral, multi-donor fund that aims to support developing countries to build capacity for assessing climate action and reporting their progress in line with the Paris Agreement, ensuring greater quality, trust and ambition to climate policies worldwide.
The meeting included several stakeholders, such as GIZ, Climate Change International Technical and Training Center (CITC), the Green Growth Institute and several Thai agencies and took place at the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy (ONEP), in Bangkok.
The objective of the meeting was to conduct an initial stakeholder mapping and discussion on potential collaboration areas between UNEP-DTU and the Thai government agencies and institutions, for ICAT program implementation in Thailand. Possible collaborations with the Climate Change cluster at RRC.AP were also discussed with UNEP-DTU.
