The unique YEA programme created by the Sustainable Energy Youth Network and the Regional Resource Centre at Asia for Asia and the Pacific at AIT will be showcased at the COP 25 in Madrid in a side-event taking place on 12 December at 18.30. More info here.
For the third year in a row, representatives of the AIT-RRCAP participate the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Madrid. The 25th Conference of the Parties, organized by Chile and taking place in Madrid, has been followed by waves of protests and increased public pressure, especially by young people.
Now that young people have taken the global stage in advocating climate action from governments, this event could not be more timely. The session “Increasing Climate Ambition through Capacity Building Among Youth and Educators” will provide evidence-based case studies of practices that advance climate action and ambition, while promoting the effective and lasting implementation of the Paris Agreement. This will be an opportunity to inspire and empower youth and educators to increase climate ambition at a local and national level. Don't miss it!
The YEA and its presentation at the COP25 have been kindly supported by the Konrad-Adenauer Foundation.
