As water-related disasters continue to impact communities, this webinar will delve into the challenges posed by floods, droughts, storms, and other emergencies, which have affected billions of people, causing significant economic losses. The increasing population, coupled with factors like poverty and inadequate infrastructure, contribute to the rising trend of water-related disasters.
Objective
The webinar aims to present water management tools and approaches based on the practical experiences of cities in the Asia-Pacific region. These insights will integrate considerations of climate change uncertainty into the development of disaster risk reduction, resilience, and adaptation action plans and strategies for cities.
