Following the success of the first Youth Energy Academy in Asia in 2019, the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Foundation's Regional Project Energy Security and Climate Change Asia Pacific (KAS-RECAP) has partnered with the Regional Resource Centre for Asia and the Pacific (RRC.AP) at the Asian Institute of Technology, to organize a second edition and follow up activities in 2020. Under the current circumstances, activities will be held virtually.
The virtual mentoring series aims to follow up with the impressive group of alumni from the first YEA, which represent 13 nationalities from South and Southeast Asia and first gathered in AIT in 2019. These young leaders have been building upon the lessons learned during YEA, and many have been working on various projects. Through this series, the RRC.AP and partners including the Sustainable Energy Youth Network (SEYN) will aim to provide support to YEA alumni in further developing their projects and ideas and building their capacities to contribute to climate action and the sustainable energy transition .
Virtual Mentoring Series
Mentoring sessions
The Virtual mentoring series will consist of at four webinar-like sessions in June and July 2020, and focus on key topics previously chosen by YEA alumni. All sessions will be held on Zoom.
The first session will create a space for sharing and reconnecting, while providing a platform for former YEA alumni to present their recent projects and ideas and, ideally, get useful feedback from colleagues and mentors.

Subsequent sessions will aim to provide a deep-dive into key topics introduced during YEA, while allowing alumni to gather practical insights for planning and implementing small scale decentralized renewable energy projects.
